There are all kinds of culinary creations you could cook up with this fun plate game! Choose your favourite foods to decorate with mt tape or recreate the fruits and fry up using the steps below.
Materials
- Lots of block colour tapes, plus stripes for the cutlery and mt fab art tapes for the watermelon and slice of toast
- 2 x 100mm tapes in blue and green
- White card
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Craft knife
- Cutting mat
- Paper tweezers – optional
Step 1
First draw and cut out two circles to form your plates. Draw around a side plate in your kitchen for ease!
Step 2
Use your 100mm tapes to cover the circles, then cut away the access with your craft knife.
Step 3
Next, draw out your food items. The fruit plate has watermelon, strawberries, cherries, an apple and an orange on it. The fry up consists of a slice of toast, sausage, fried egg, bacon rashers, mushrooms, beans and a tomato. You’ll also want to sketch out a knife and fork. Cut these out with your scissors once you’re happy with the shapes.
Step 4
Now get taping! Pick colours that match your foods, or create rainbow versions of your snacks. Again, carefully use your craft knife to cut away the access tape.
Step 5
Add details to your food using small pieces of tape, like white seeds on your strawberries and black ones on the watermelon. If they are super fiddly, you may find paper tweezers useful.
Step 6
Do the same with your fry up foods, again adding detail like highlights on the egg and sausage.
Step 7
Time to play! Mix up your foods then place them on the plates so they match up. Form a tasty breakfast, or fresh fruit salad. You could add lots of other pieces of food to make unusual combinations too!
