1: Cosmic Violinist by Naomi Vona @ mariko_koda
Naomi Vona is a huge advocate of mt masking tape and has been using it as her main material since about 2013. The tape has “always been a source of great inspiration” and really matches her bright and colourful signature style. In this piece, Noami has transformed a vintage photograph giving it a whole new lease of life! Naomi uses the masking tape in the same way she would with paint, “I love the fact that I can literally paint using the tape, giving also an extra 3D final result to the surface of each collage.
2: Collage by Esther Ellard @estellarr
We love the way Esther overlaps and layers mt Masking Tape to create these geometric patterns and shapes. Esther often uses mt in the early stages of her work: cutting and arranging it into interesting compositions. She then scans the image and adds layers, shapes and colours to create these abstract masterpieces. The perfect piece of art to brighten up a blank white wall.
3: Seascape by Japanese Artist @miki_tamura
The sun is shining, and we are obsessed with this beautiful seascape from Miki Tamura. Miki has managed to romantically capture the atmosphere of life at sea with this clever use of tape that is reminiscent of a watercolour painting. Through soft layering of different shades of blue and a bold use of patterned tape it really feels as if we have been transported to a quaint seaside town.
4: Stephanie Hartman, founder of Collage Club London @collageclubldn
It’s all about pastel shades this spring and we have fallen in love with this spring collage of dreams from Stephanie Hartman of College Club London. Here Stephanie has layered paintwork, a photograph and mt Masking Tape and stickers to create a tropical masterpiece that is full of depth.
